Delete Your Account

You can delete your Syness Studios account and the data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do this.

Option 1: Delete in-app

If you have a Syness app installed and you're signed into your account:

  1. Open the app.
  2. Go to SettingsAccount.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

This is the fastest method. Your account is queued for deletion immediately and you'll see an on-screen confirmation.

Option 2: Email us

If you don't have the app installed, can't sign in, or just prefer to handle this over email, send a request to help@syness.io with:

  • Subject line: Account Deletion Request
  • The email address associated with your account
  • The Syness app(s) you've used (e.g., Murven)

We'll acknowledge your request as soon as we can and complete the deletion within the timeline described below. We may ask you to verify the request from the email address on file before proceeding — this is to make sure the request is actually coming from you.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

  • Your email address and account credentials
  • Synced data tied to your account (app progress, preferences, stats, etc.)
  • Any Syness account identifiers associated with you

What we may retain

A limited amount of information may be kept after deletion when we're required to or have a legitimate reason:

  • Transaction and tax records — kept for as long as applicable tax and accounting law requires, typically 7 years.
  • Records related to abuse, fraud, or legal disputes — kept as long as needed to resolve the matter.
  • Aggregated or anonymized analytics — data that no longer identifies you may be retained indefinitely.

App store purchases (Apple App Store, Google Play) are managed by Apple and Google. We don't store payment details, and we can't refund or remove purchase records on those platforms — for that, contact the App Store or Play Store directly.

Timeline

  • Account access: revoked immediately upon request.
  • Personal data deletion: completed within 30 days.
  • Backups: any backups containing your data are overwritten on our standard backup rotation, generally within 90 days.

Data on your device

Deleting your account doesn't remove app data stored locally on your device. To remove that, uninstall the app or clear its data through your device's settings (iOS or Android).
